Katherine La Nauze
Katherine comes from a musical family and began learning the violin at the age of 6. Katherine studied with the late Florence Lee during her secondary school years and then under Dr Anthony Doheny at The University of Melbourne’s Conservatorium of Music, where she completed a Bachelor of Music degree. Whilst continuing to play the violin in various orchestras and semi professional groups around Melbourne, Katherine went on to complete a Bachelor of Speech Pathology degree at La Trobe University. Katherine currently works as a speech pathologist in adult neurological rehabilitation and incorporates music wherever possible in her therapy to enhance people's lives. She feels privileged to have been a member of the Mornington Peninsula Chamber Orchestra for nearly a decade, which has given her an opportunity to play locally with other talented musicians and also inspire her four children to engage in music.
